Wrestling Fans....AKA Diehards!

Since Andy hasn't been able to wrestle this year due to injury, we have not attended many matches. We all miss it terribly. Somehow it was a bit too tough to go right after the surgery. I admit, I was calling for scores and keeping up with the team.

Finally, last night Andy wanted to go. It didn't take me 2 minutes to get my shoes on and grab my camera. It was the District Individuals match and winners go to Regional and then State competition. In addition to kids we have known for years, Justin was wrestling. He reached his 150th win of his wrestling career!



Of course, we missed it. We had a snowstorm yesterday and as we hurried through the dark, snow covered roads with Andy promising that Justin had not wrestled the final match yet, I quietly prayed we would get there in one piece. We made it, only to find that the really good match was over and the last match he was scheduled to wrestle was not going to happen. The other kid conceeded!

We got to see old friends, watch a couple of matches and remember how much we missed it. The hugs were worth the trip!
