Chin Best Friends

I realize that I write about the dogs a lot. I guess it is not surprising, since they play such a big role in our lives. I would never have dreamed that when I brought little Josie home, it would start the passionate love affair this family has with chihuahuas.

Yeah, they make a lot of noise, they get into mischief quite often (not unlike 2 yr old children) and they require a lot of attention. However, they make you feel like you are worth a million bucks every time you walk in the room.

Andy has the honor of owning the "half breed" as Joe refers to Wendy Wu. Her parents are Spike and Rocky and she has the best of both in her personality.

Lucy Lu loves to outsmart Joe and she manages to do it daily. He is always positive that he has put everything awway, closed every door and somehow Lucy finds something to chew. Yesterday, while Joe was washing the sheets, Lucy was busy tearing up the mattress cover. The "DogFather" was trying to blame Wendy, but it was Lucy that hid under the bed as the mess was being cleaned.

We recently carpeted the living room and added rugs to the family room so now we have gates in every doorway. It looks just like 1975 when we really did have a 2 yr old in the house. Except they stand at the gate and cry, whine and bark until someone feels sorry for them!

So we get up to bouncing pups, they greet us at the door as if they haven't seen us in years and spend the next hour in our laps. They curl up and keep us warm at night and sometimes just like her owner, Wendy just kicks back and enjoys a smoke!
